The combination of these strategies can save 60 % or more in lighting energy. Additionally, since light produces heat, reducing lighting energy reduces cooling energy. Typically, every 3 watt reduction in lighting power eliminates 1 watt of power for cooling.
Light level tuning:
Setting the appropriate target light level for each space
Daylight harvesting: Automatically dimming electric lights when enough daylight is present |
